The Province has adopted the 2024 editions of the British Columbia Building Code, including Book II Plumbing Systems, and Fire Code (BC Codes 2024) which will come into effect on March 8, 2024.
For information on how to download a free copy of the new BC Codes 2024, please visit the Building and Safety Standards website. Print publications are anticipated to be available for purchase online later in 2024.
At the same time, the Letters of Assurance included in the BC Building Code will be updated to 2024 so you will need Schedule B /Schedule C for 2024 from March 8th, 2024 onwards.
You will only be allowed to submit Schedule B and C’s for 2018 forms for work done before and up to March 8th, 2024.
